Learn More About Our Dance Classes

BALLET CLASSES
Our ballet classes offer classical ballet training with a strong emphasis on technique, musicality, and discipline—making them the foundation of all other dance styles. Dancers of all levels will build strength and grace through structured instruction in barre work, center floor exercises, and across-the-floor combinations. Whether you’re seeking ballet classes for kids, teens, or pre-professional dancers, our program provides expert guidance in a supportive and inspiring environment.

JAZZ & TAP CLASSES
Our jazz dance classes combine traditional and contemporary styles, focusing on jazz technique, flexibility, strength, and performance quality. Dancers improve coordination and musicality through dynamic movement and structured technique training. In our tap dance classes, students develop clear tap sounds, timing, and rhythm through both center work and across-the-floor combinations. These energetic and engaging dance classes in Littleton are perfect for building strong foundational skills while having fun.

Testimonials
My daughter began taking classes at Belliston Academy when she was 9 years old. She began with 2 classes a week, but kept increasing, because the more she took, the more she loved it. The passion she has for dance was fostered by the current and former professional dancers that she had as instructors there. She was accepted into their Pre-Professional program at age 12 and continued in this exceptional program until she graduated from high school and moved on to start her own professional career in ballet.

"HANDS DOWN THE BEST STUDIO IN THE LITTLETON, CO"
Belliston Academy has exceeded my expectations. My daughter is blossoming as a dancer but more importantly she is growing into a better person thanks to the guidance of this incredible organization. The instructors and staff are caring, compassionate and dedicated to making each of their students embrace their full potential."

"PROFESSIONAL, LOVING AND CARING STUDIO"

MINI MOVER & PRE DANCE CLASSES
Our Mini Mover and Pre Dance classes are specially designed for children ages 2–5, offering the perfect introduction to toddler dance classes and preschool ballet. In a fun, nurturing environment, young dancers develop gross motor skills, learn to follow movement, and build classroom readiness through imaginative play and music. These beginner dance classes use age-appropriate choreography, engaging music, and creative movement to inspire confidence, coordination, and a love for dance from the very beginning.

CCA & RAD CLASSES
Cecchetti (CCA) training is a rigorous method which pays careful attention to the laws of anatomy. It develops all of the qualities essential to the dancer: balance, poise, strength, elevation, elasticity, etc. Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is an internationally recognized organization that provides a certification program in classical ballet. Both classes require an assessment process, which allows students and educators alike to know exactly what skills have been attained, and where further study is required.
Dance Classes for Children of All Ages
We believe that every child should thrive in a loving environment and every adult should get the opportunity get out on the dance floor. Dancing is the greatest tool for children and adults to develop the skills and confidence to be their best self.

How It Works
- Please arrive at your designated ARRIVAL TIME with performance hair and make–up done. Parents can assist in using the downstairs dressing room or Studio B to change into costume after arriving to the studio.
- Dancers will meet a staff member in the hallway along the windows outside STUDIO C in costume at their designated PHOTO TIME.
- Dancers will take photos in STUDIO C, then go into STUDIO A for rehearsal with their teacher and directors.
- Students will exit STUDIO A doors when they are done.
- If your child is in more than one show number, the process is repeated. Parents must assist younger dancers in changing hair and costumes. We will have no parent volunteers assisting with this on dress rehearsal day.
- If your child is only in one show number, you may change out of costume and leave after photos and rehearsal. For one show number this process takes about 45 minutes.
IMPORTANT NOTES CLOSED REHEARSAL – The photo session and rehearsal will be CLOSED for observation. Belliston Staff, scholarship students and select volunteers will be escorting the dancers through the studios on rehearsal day. Parents will not have access to the studios.
Depending on how long your dancer will be at dress rehearsal, feel free to pack snacks, a lunch and water. Food and drinks are strictly prohibited in Studio A and C and should not be eaten in costume.
Participation on Monday and/or Tuesday is MANDATORY to perform. Dress rehearsal at the theater on Thursday, June 18th is mandatory to perform. Dress rehearsal is about giving all dancers a chance to understand their spacing, formations, entrances/exits, and traffic patterns in the bigger space. If a dancer is not in their spot, then it changes the dynamic- and safety- for everyone else. No dress rehearsal means no show. (This includes if the dancer shows up, but arrives late enough to miss their time slot. Please plan accordingly.) A successful dress rehearsal is a team effort. Go team! :)
