Belliston Academy expects all students to arrive at the studio 10 minutes before the class is scheduled to start and to be in the appropriate dance studio on time. In case of tardiness, Belliston Academy reserves the right to require students to sit out a class. Repeated tardiness may result in termination of lessons. It is essential to arrive on time, as tardiness may disrupt the class and impact the learning experience of other students.

All classes at Belliston Academy have a two-month minimum, and a 30-day written notice is mandatory through a "Change of Account Form." To drop a class, email admin@bellistonacademy.com to submit your drop notification. You must submit a "Change of Account Form" in the office by the 7th of the month prior to the month classes are to be discontinued. Failure to provide the required notification will result in tuition being required for that month.

Belliston Academy does not offer refunds for tuition, exams, performances, costumes, or camps. However, depending on the circumstances of the cancellation, a Belliston account credit may be applied. In the event of a cancellation, any payment plans will continue to operate as scheduled until payment is paid in full according to the amount due.

Each year we have a Spring Show, Nutcracker and Dance with the Sugar Plum Princess.

Most of the classes listed in the September 2022-June 2023 schedule are 60 minutes in duration. However, some advanced courses may be 90 minutes long. Classes start on the half hour on Monday through Thursday, and on the hour on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. It's important to note that the schedule is subject to change.

Yes, we offer a complimentary placement class for new students who want to try class before committing to a full session or season. This allows your dancer to experience our teaching style, meet our instructors, and determine if our studio is the right fit. Yes, all dancers participate in an end of the year recital called Spring Show. Our students have the opportunity to showcase their hard work in front of family, friends and the community. Spring Show is a great way to gain confidence, stage experience and have fun. We will provide more information about the recital as it approaches. 

No. Belliston Ballet holds a Nutcracker audition each season. Dancers must be 8 years old to audition and dancers not on pointe must be in a minimum of two ballet classes. Dancers on pointe must be in a minimum of four ballet classes per week to audition. Visit bellistonballet.org for more information about upcoming auditions and show information. 

Absolutely! Ballet is a beautiful and challenging art form that can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of gender. Our male students have the opportunity to develop strength, agility, and artistry through ballet training. We encourage boys and men to try ballet and discover the joy and benefits of this timeless art form.

If dancers are enrolled in a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) or Cecchetti (CCA) class, they may be invited to examine out of their current grade level. CCA exams are in the Fall (October) and RAD exams are in the Spring (March-April).
